Bitcoin Supercycle Anticipated as Market Conditions Shift, Says Alex Krüger – But There’s a Catch
Economist and trader Alex Krüger believes that Bitcoin (BTC) still has room for growth, despite currently being 14% below its all-time high. Speaking on the Unchained podcast, Krüger stated that Bitcoin is far from reaching its cycle top.
Krüger suggests that the approval of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in January 2024 could disrupt the usual four-year cycles that revolve around the halving event. He believes that the introduction of ETFs and the resulting significant flows could make the correlation between risk and Bitcoin more sustainable, thereby extending the cycle.
While Krüger acknowledges the potential for a supercycle, he clarifies that it does not mean Bitcoin will only go up. Rather, it implies that the cryptocurrency will experience shorter corrections. These corrections may be shorter in duration as long as equities and the economy perform well.
As of now, Bitcoin is trading at $93,134, which is approximately 10% below its 2025 high of around $102,000.
