Andre Cronje, Founder of Fantom (FTM), Expresses Solidarity with Solana Amid Network Congestion Challenges

Andre Cronje, co-founder of Fantom (FTM), has expressed his views on the recent congestion issues faced by the Solana (SOL) network, stating that it is a result of the platform’s success and growing user activity. In a post on social media platform X, Cronje emphasized that the current outages experienced by Solana are simply due to the high demand for blockspace, which can be resolved through optimization and engineering solutions. Last week, Solana encountered a period where over 70% of its non-vote transactions failed, leading co-founder Raj Gokal to reassure users that the development team is actively working on resolving the issue. Gokal highlighted the dedication of the engineering teams in addressing the problem and expressed his commitment to providing an improved transaction experience for users. Anatoly Yakovenko, another co-founder of Solana, acknowledged the challenges posed by congestion bugs and emphasized the complexity of fixing the issue. He mentioned that dealing with such bugs is more challenging than addressing liveness failures, as it requires a comprehensive release and testing process. Despite these setbacks, SOL’s price has recovered from its recent low of $168.07 and is currently trading at $178.01.
