Analyst Benjamin Cowen Provides Insight into Ethereum’s Potential Rise against Bitcoin
A renowned crypto analyst believes that Ethereum (ETH) is poised to experience a surge against Bitcoin (BTC) as we enter the new year. In a recent video update, Benjamin Cowen, a crypto strategist with 848,000 YouTube subscribers, predicts that based on historical trends, Ethereum is likely to reach its lowest point in relation to the top cryptocurrency by market capitalization.
According to Cowen, the ETH/BTC pair will see an upward movement in early 2025, regardless of Bitcoin’s performance against the US dollar. He points out that historically, ETH/BTC tends to reach its bottom either in December or January. Since it is already December 22nd, Cowen predicts that Ethereum will remain weak against Bitcoin for the remainder of the year and possibly into early January. However, he expects ETH/BTC to start moving upwards in 2025, regardless of Bitcoin’s direction against the USD.
Cowen also mentions that based on previous market cycles, 2025 is likely to be a favorable year for ETH/BTC in terms of quarterly returns. He notes that the first and second quarters of 2022 were negative, while the third and fourth quarters were positive. The only other quarter in the past three years where ETH/BTC showed positive returns was the second quarter of 2024. Cowen believes that in terms of quarterly returns, ETH/BTC will likely see more positive returns in 2025 and possibly even in early 2026.
At the time of writing, the value of ETH/BTC is 0.03444 ($3,343.71).
