JPMorgan Chase Account Loses $22,000 Following Customer’s Report of Suspicious Activity – Bank Declines Reimbursement, Claims Report

An Ohio family claims that a single phone call resulted in the loss of thousands of dollars from their JPMorgan Chase bank account – and Chase says they are responsible for the losses. According to News 5 Cleveland, the Kalista family received a phone call from someone claiming to be from Chase, alerting them to suspicious activity. Michelle Kalista, who answered the call, was surprised that the person on the other end knew personal details about her, including her transaction history. Despite her husband Mike’s call to Chase to verify the situation, the scammer was still able to access their funds, resulting in $22,000 disappearing from their account. The family is frustrated that Chase is refusing to reimburse them, claiming that they authorized or benefited from the transactions. Similar scams have been reported across the US, with victims losing substantial amounts of money from their bank accounts. Wells Fargo and Chase customers have also faced difficulties receiving compensation for their losses. It is essential for individuals to be cautious and conduct thorough research before engaging in high-risk investments involving Bitcoin or digital assets. The Daily Hodl does not provide investment advice and is not responsible for any losses incurred by individuals.
