Raoul Pal, CEO of Real Vision and former Goldman Sachs executive, predicts that a competitor of Solana (SOL) is on the verge of entering a phase of rapid growth after breaking through a critical resistance level.

Pal informs his 1.1 million followers on the social media platform X that Sui (SUI), a layer one blockchain, is poised for significant rallies following its breakthrough of the all-time high near the $5 mark.

“SUI is pushing against the ceiling… once it surpasses this, it will enter hyperspace.”

Since Pal’s post, SUI has experienced a rally and is currently trading at $5.28 at the time of writing.

Regarding Solana, Pal expresses optimism for SOL. He shares a chart indicating that SOL has broken out of a channel, flipped the upper boundary from resistance to support, and is now gradually surpassing the psychological resistance at all-time highs.

At the time of writing, SOL is trading at $215.

Pal has previously stated that he believes SUI will act as the “chosen one” in this market cycle and outperform Solana. During an interview with Kevin Follonier on the When Shift Happens podcast, Pal explains that he was convinced to support the SUI project because he believed it had the greatest chance of success.

“I’m confident that [Solana] will do well, I see nothing but success in that chain and positive vibes. The question is, whether the ‘next chosen one’ outperforms it to such an extent that you’re compelled to make that trade, which is much riskier. So it’s not the bet that I would advise people to make on a large scale.

For me, it’s SUI, and it’s not because I’m affiliated with the foundation, but because I could have been talking about this for a long time since I was part of the foundation, but I didn’t. I waited until I saw the confirmation through price action, specifically the general outperformance compared to Solana, ETH, Bitcoin, and then every single token started breaking out.

At that point, I felt confident in saying, ‘Listen, this may be the chosen one.'”
