MITs Decentralized AI Summit Declares OriginTrail Powered by Polkadot the Top Decentralized AI Project
On October 17, 2024, the MIT Media Lab hosted a summit that brought together top innovators, researchers, and industry leaders to explore the future of decentralized AI technologies. Representatives from Dell, Intell, NVIDIA, and other notable AI companies made significant contributions during the event.
Among the speakers, Branimir Rakic, the founder of OriginTrail, delivered a talk on how OriginTrail’s decentralized knowledge graph, powered by Polkadot, serves as a crucial infrastructure in tackling some of the internet’s most pressing challenges in the age of AI, such as misinformation, deep fakes, fake news, and unreliable AI in a broader context.
OriginTrail’s pioneering approach to building trust in AI stood out among the various showcases at the summit and was voted as the best project by the participants. This recognition highlights the expected impact of OriginTrail in driving mainstream adoption for AI and Web 3.0 technologies across different industries, including global supply chains, decentralized physical infrastructure, and advancements in improving AI models through federated access to training data.
Branimir Rakic expressed his excitement, stating, “We are thrilled to see that OriginTrail is evolving in the same direction as many other industry giants, identifying it as the cutting edge. I was particularly excited to hear speakers emphasize the importance of deploying AI solutions at the network’s edge, where sustainable resource use and privacy-preserving data management can be implemented. OriginTrail has been working on enabling this for the past year, and we are excited to unveil it at the DKGcon in Amsterdam next week, along with the release of the DKG Edge node. I also want to thank the event participants for selecting OriginTrail as the best project of the DecAI Summit. It’s a great vote of confidence for our future work.”
As the limitations of current AI solutions become more apparent, there is a growing demand for trustworthy AI solutions developed at the intersection of Web 3.0 and AI. OriginTrail aims to lead this charge by driving mainstream adoption of its critical infrastructure, enabling a safe internet in the age of AI.
OriginTrail is an ecosystem dedicated to creating a sustainable global economy by facilitating the sharing of AI-ready knowledge assets. Leveraging the open-source “decentralized knowledge graph,” it connects the physical and digital worlds, promoting transparency and trust. This advanced knowledge graph technology, already utilized by trillion-dollar companies like Google and Facebook, has been reshaped for Web 3.0 by OriginTrail. It provides a vital framework to link, verify, and value data on both physical and digital assets.
