Report: $300,000 Instantly Stolen from JPMorgan Chase Bank Branch in Brooklyn Following a Withdrawal

A customer at JPMorgan Chase allegedly suffered a loss of $300,000 after withdrawing the money from a bank branch in Brooklyn. The incident occurred when the 31-year-old customer left the bank and was robbed immediately afterwards. News 12 reported that while the bank has not issued a statement regarding the assault, it did provide security footage of the incident to the authorities, who have now made it public. The footage reveals the alleged robber, who forcefully took the cash from the customer and made his escape on a scooter. It is unclear whether Chase will reimburse the victim, and the customer has not made any public statements regarding the incident, which took place last month. The New York Police Department is urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. Last year, Chase made headlines for implementing new safety measures in New York City due to a rise in crime. As a result, a limited number of ATMs in the city were switched off by 6:00 p.m. in response to the increased criminal activity.
