Report JPMorgan Chase Bank of America and Wells Fargo Accounts Allegedly Involved in 92000000 Money Laundering Scheme

A new report claims that an alleged money laundering scheme worth $92 million flowed through three of the largest banks in the US. According to CNN, court documents state that a group of alleged drug runners and money launderers deposited hundreds of thousands of dollars in illicit funds into accounts at JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo.

The US Justice Department has indicted 37-year-old Enhua Fang for leading a $92 million drug money laundering operation, which involved depositing a total of $17 million in cash at banks across the US. Prosecutors claim that Fang’s couriers made over 100 cash deposits worth $17 million at banks from California to Virginia. Additionally, her alleged co-conspirators deposited hundreds of thousands of dollars in accounts at the three major banks, according to court documents.

Fang was arrested in Oregon in April and is accused of being the main contact for Mexican drug trafficking groups, depositing illicit funds into bank accounts across 20 states, including California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin, as reported by The Oregonian.

Wells Fargo and Bank of America have chosen not to comment on the allegations, while JPMorgan Chase has not responded to requests for a statement.
